Liz Talbot and Nate Andrews are eager to take the case offered by Rutledge & Radcliffe, one of Charleston's most prestigious Broad Street law firms. Who could've pushed Shelby Poinsett out her second-floor library window other than her husband, Clint? They were home alone when it happened, but he was in his sound-proof music room on the third floor. Jury selection starts in two weeks, and the previous investigators have come up with nothing. Clint is certain Shelby would only have opened the door for a friend or family member. While Nate investigates the local homeless shelter where Shelby volunteered, Liz interviews Shelby's closest friends, including the members of a hundred-year-old book club Charleston's genteel ladies are dying to join. Liz and Nate race against time to keep an innocent man out of jail and bring a killer to justice.
