He Held a Job, Raised a Family, Wandered the Himalayas - and Was Free the Entire Time. What does genuine liberation look like when it walks the earth wearing ordinary clothes? H. W. L. Poonja - known to thousands as Papaji - was not a monk sealed away in a cave. He was a man who laughed easily, who went to work, who walked into the Himalayas and came back carrying something the mountains themselves could not contain. Find Out Who the Seer Is follows the full arc of his ministry and presses into every page the one question he pressed into every heart: Find out who the seer is. This account moves from the decisive silence that followed his encounter with Sri Ramana Maharshi, through decades of ordinary and extraordinary life, and into the luminous years in Lucknow - where Westerners and Indians, householders and wanderers, the desperate and the merely curious, arrived to sit in a living room that somehow held the world. • The morning Ramana did not come back - and what that absence confirmed forever • How a free man went to work, raised a family, and walked roads that went everywhere without losing what he had found • The Himalayan years: what was sought, what was met, and what walked back out • The arrival of Western seekers - and why Papaji was not surprised • The living room satsangs: the laughter that broke seekers open, the silence louder than any word he spoke • The instruction he sent outward again and again: Go back and tell them The silence Papaji transmitted in Lucknow was not his private possession. He insisted it belonged to everyone - that it was, in fact, what everyone already was. This volume does not water that insistence down. It simply walks beside him, as close as the page allows, and lets the life do what the satsangs always did. Book Two of The Lion of Lucknow: A Three-Part Life of Sri H. W. L. Poonja
