Aston Chase is a 32-year-old private investigator in M-City. On his last job, Aston was tricked into being impregnated with a wealthy socialite's frozen embryos. He was charged with "guarding them" until she returned from a voyage to America. Her ship never made it, and her body was never recovered.Suddenly, he gets a call from her estranged daughter that the socialite is indeed alive, but missing…While following the clues for the missing woman, Aston gets a call to find a stolen dog. It is a classic case of a couple breaking up and taking what they believe is rightfully theirs…or so Aston thinks. Soon, he's meddling with mobsters, finding keys that open mysterious boxes halfway across the country, and stumbling upon dead bodies. All while still adjusting to and dealing with the struggles of his pregnancy.
