"A woman partners with a cop to track a serial killer in this thriller that "marks the arrival of a bold new female voice for American crime-fiction fans" (Publishers Weekly).
Makedde Vanderwall is a part-time model, a student of forensic psychology, and a bad-ass. She has to be. It's the only way the six-foot blonde stunner is taken seriously in this world. When her best friend and fellow model is brutally murdered, Makedde is deadly serious about finding the killer. Detective Andy Flynn suspects the gruesome crime to be the work of a serial killer with a kink for killing young women. But that doesn't keep Mak from doing her own sleuthing.
Not only is Mak well-versed in the criminal mind, she grew up with a cop father in a household where homicide was dinnertime conversation. But when the psychopath targets Mak, suddenly getting her man-and keeping Detective Flynn at arm's length-gets a lot more dangerous.
"Makedde Vanderwall ranks up there as [a] contemporary Aussie literary icon." -The Daily Telegraph
