Felípe Angeles was a soldier, a patriot, a statesman, and an educator. He was educated at the Military College at Chapultepec as well as at St. Cyr in France. Above all he was a humanist. He loved his country and desired the best for all people. Even while a dutiful soldier, Angeles questioned Mexico's social condition.
