Part medical diary, part naturalist's journal, part tribute to a remote mountain community and its 123 residents, February Light is the often humorous account of one woman's journey through a difficult and unexpected cancer diagnosis. This spare and evocative book celebrates our bonds with family, friends, pets, and the changing seasons. At one point, the author claims to be indulging in a little flirtation with death, but, in the end, it is her love affair with life that triumphs.
