When marketing associate Emma Sinclair tells a little white lie to her meddling family about having a boyfriend, she never expects it to spiral into a full-blown charade. But with her parents' anniversary party looming, Emma panics-until her charming, confident co-worker Ben Torres offers to step in as her pretend boyfriend for the weekend.
What begins as a carefully rehearsed act quickly blurs into something more. Ben is a natural at winning over her family, but even more unsettling is how easily he wins over Emma. Between fake kisses that feel real and stolen glances that last too long, Emma finds herself questioning what's true and what's not.
After the party, their connection deepens-into real dates, real conversations, and real feelings. But just as Emma starts to open her heart, old wounds resurface in the form of Ben's ex, threatening to unravel everything they've built.
Now, Emma and Ben must decide if their relationship was always more than make-believe-or if the truth is too scary to hold on to.
