Hebrews 11 is the "great cloud of witnesses" Hebrews 12 is talking about, and I feel so encouraged after surveying their lives because it shows me the simplicity of faith that gets God's attention, God's patience in our lives, and His redemptive history. These accounts seem "simple," but when you read them against the backdrop of their stories, they are sure to gives you a deeper appreciation as they rekindle your faith.
