Lisa Benton drives to Phoenix to clear her mind after a deadly skirmish in San Diego County with her nemeses, Oceanside Homicide Detectives Derrick Miller and Sylvie Stevens, partners and lovers. Able to quietly escape after shooting and killing Derrick in self-defense, Lisa hopes a change of scenery in the desert will help her relax and regain her perspective on life. But her peaceful stay is interrupted after stumbling upon a sex-trafficking ring in one of Phoenix's suburbs.
