"Erosion: Changing Earth's surface, by Robin Koontz, tells the story of how the process of erosion changes the surface of the Earth over time. The term "dirt" is used several times, which is unfortunate because it is seemingly used interchangeably with the word "soil," with no distinction made between the two words. The books explains the process of erosion by wind and water (liquid and frozen) as it applies to several areas on Earth, as well as providing information on how humans have learned to slow down erosion. There is one hands-on activity at the end of the book, with a short list of extra terms, a short glossary, and a few more sources a child might use to learn more about this topic."
