We are living in an "envy crisis." With the continued rise of smart phones and social media it can be hard not to compare ourselves to others. We learn about college acceptances, vacations, engagements, and work promotions of not only our closest friends, but now of acquaintances and celebrities. As a result, we are experiencing the uncomfortable feeling of envy more and more.
Though envy can be a deeply shameful and difficult emotion to navigate, social scientist and career coach, Stacy S. Kim, PhD, is here to show us how envy can be a powerful motivator for change and growth. When suppressed and denied, envy can lead to unhappiness and resentment, but if we examine and engage with it, it becomes a catalyst for transformation. Within the pages of ENVY you'll learn how to:
• accept envy as a very normal human emotion,
• use envy to your advantage, and
• uncover what you truly want and how to achieve it
It's time to harness the power of envy for good. STACY S. KIM, PH.D. is social scientist and coach. She's the founder of Life Junctions LLC, with over 15 years of experience helping high achievers overcome envy and other internal blocks to navigate the complexities of life and work and build lives they love.
