Playing the wrong music can be murder. Recovering from events that have shaken his confidence as an officer and a father, Detective Inspector Jacob Murray has come to Canterbury to rebuild his career. Newly promoted Detective Sergeant Matthew Compton does his best to avoid the guilt of what occurred while he attended Christ Church University despite living in the shadow of the campus. Neither detective is sure of who they can trust—especially each other. When a cellist is brutally murdered at the University, the only clue is a musical score by Tchaikovsky. The detectives are forced to put aside the past and learn to work together to discover who killed the musician.
