Germaine of Scot Hold, a warrior known as the Emerald Knight, lives in the land of Valeria where he holds to the old code of honor and valor. A family man, Germaine makes his living by swearing liege oath to those needing his aid. It is his greatest wish that all in his land will one day live in peace. In the meantime, violence is a necessity for survival. Lady Estella Merelda's life is in grave danger. Both her parents have died, leaving her as the reluctant new ruler of her kingdom, Lyon Hold, taking her focus away from finding a husband. After a rather skeptical Lady Estella is finally convinced she needs protection, she sends her servant to retrieve the Emerald Knight, who soon swears to defend her and her kingdom from an evil lord. It proves to be the most dangerous task of his life when he is challenged to a single combat against a dark sorcerer and, if that is not enough, must also face a dragon's wrath. As he races against the specter of death, the Emerald Knight fights his last battles-for his life and heart. In this action-packed saga, a warrior of legendary valor pits his skills against an evil lord, sorcery, and vengeful dragon to protect his lady.
