If you are a fanatic fan of the late and great Elizabeth Taylor like I am, you will know that there have been almost 70 books depicting Elizabeth's amazing life. One memoir of course titled Elizabeth Taylor and written by the lady herself in 1964. Most editions are unsolicited and most rehash a story that has been told repeatedly. Elizabeth Taylor My Celebrity Connection is my story, and it all began with a simple letter I wrote to Elizabeth. Many letters and cards followed and in 1992, I was penned in Elizabeth's own hand, as her number 1 fan in Australia. We corresponded regularly until 10 months before her passing on 23 March 2011. Over the years I have amassed an extraordinary collection of all things Elizabeth Taylor, many items sourced from all corners of the world and some even from Elizabeth Taylor's very own home. In Elizabeth Taylor My Celebrity Connection, shoes, vintage fashion, whimsical treasures, personal effects, and letters written by the celebrity activist, help to embellish the story and lifestyle of the "Queen of Hollywood".
Join me in celebrating the life of Elizabeth Taylor as I navigate through my connection with celebrity. Miss Taylor declared this book as being, " A very thoughtful and extensive volume, one that brought back so many memories and made her day so very special." If you are a fan of celebrity or a collector of Hollywood memorabilia, I hope too, that this volume brings back and keeps alive, the memories that once were and will forever be, Dame Elizabeth Taylor.
