Ebb and Flow

Besides having the most lived-in First Period homes in the United States, the town of Ipswich has a remarkable landscape that includes a river, hills, forests, marshes, beaches, barrier islands and ocean. Candace Reed Stella has created in her paintings a chance to pause and appreciate that natural beauty. Choate Island, Agnes Choate Wonsons ancestral home of almost 250 years, inspired her evocative poetry, which complements these colorful paintings.
