About
"Drone Show" is a powerful dystopian novel set in the shadow of the war in Ukraine and a collapsing world order. As society spirals into a deep global depression, drone warfare becomes both a weapon and a spectacle - a tool of control over nations and minds. The story follows a young man who, haunted by the horrors of war and state manipulation, dares to question the system. Through resistance, betrayal, and hope, Drone Show reveals the psychological toll of living in an age where truth is a weapon, and silence is survival. Sundet Seitov is a Kazakh poet and novelist, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan. He is the author of Umytpas and Drone Show, a powerful novel exploring war, identity, and generational trauma. Born in Uzbekistan and raised in Kazakhstan, Seitov's work has been translated into Turkish and English. A two-time recipient of the Poet of the Year award in Shymkent, he also received honors from TÜRKSOY and won the national I Believe in Youth poetry competition. He lives in Shymkent with his father and brother, and works at the Pushkin City Universal Library.
