About
"The Social Contract", published in 1762, is the result of Rousseau's intellectual maturity and consists of a treaty with a political conception that interconnects issues about freedom and law. To problematize and reach a form of peaceful association between men and the relations of power and law established between them, the work presents itself as saying that man was born free, being, however, "chained everywhere". Divided into four sections, "The social contract"is Mandatory reading for everyone who wants to understand the foundation and legitimacy of society.
