Deborah Deysel, a South African opera singer, returns to Zurich a year after a scandal in her personal life. Despite her attempts to move on, she realizes that her past catches up with her when the conductor involved in the scandal reaches out to her. He convinces her to meet him at the opera house studio, where he shares a secret music recording with her. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Janek Baptiste of the Zurich crime police, already investigating a TV personality's murder, is summoned to the Opera House. A conductor is found dead in his studio, and the last person seen with him is an opera singer with whom he had an extramarital affair. The worlds of opera and crime collide as more murders occur. The detective and opera singer join forces to unravel a long-standing plot, leading to a shocking revelation.
