Maureen Mahan Copelof and her husband, Sylvan, fell in love with Germany while stationed there with the US military. Refusing to let the adventure end with their military tour, they embarked on a journey to purchase a home in a small German town on the Neckar River, well outside the usual haunts of American tourists.
