The purpose of writing this book is to bring awareness to the epidemic of obesity. I do not want anyone to go through what I have endured, being obese a majority of my life. As a result of not knowing proper nutrition growing up and into my late teenage years, I was faced with making the life-changing decision to have gastric bypass surgery, because traditional weight-loss methods such as strict dieting and exercise did not work for me.
