Denominations II: A study of The Episcopal and Lutheran Churches is a powerful teaching resource designed for Bible class teachers, small group leaders, and individual Christians who want to sharpen their understanding of religious error through the lens of God's Word. In this study guide, John F. Lugger examines two major religious bodies - the Anglican/Episcopal Church, having similar beliefs as the Catholics, except for a recognition of authority, replacing a singular Pope with an "Episcopate" of Hierarchs and allowing the Ordination of women, to name a few. And the Lutheran Church, one of the first "protesting" or "Protestant" bodies (from Catholicism) to help bring about the Reformation Movement. Each of the 13 Lessons are designed to compare the teachings of these two major Churches with the New Testament pattern, highlighting where man-made traditions have replaced divine instructions. Whether used in an adult Bible class, a study group, or personal study, this workbook is a bold, Bible-based tool for those who love the church and care about souls. It's not written for debate - it's written for clarity, conviction, and courage. If we truly believe the Bible is God's final word, we must be willing to examine every doctrine in its light.
