Guided by Raven, an underground radio host with knowledge of ancient traditions, Elijah discovers his bloodline connects to shamanic abilities: his great-grandmother was once Inkanyamba's priestess. As Cape Town suffers under a devastating week-long storm, Elijah learns the deity is using the serial killings to strengthen its connection to our world through blood sacrifice. With Inspector Alma du Toit reluctantly accepting the supernatural threat, the trio performs a ritual on Table Mountain using Elijah's blood to banish Inkanyamba back to its realm. Though successful, the connection remains-as long as Elijah can draw the face, the deity might return. Rather than abandoning his art, Elijah chooses to learn control, transforming his gift from a channel for destruction into one for protection, just as his ancestors once did.
