Deep Scythe is a modern military thriller that blends naval aviation, black-budget warfare, and psychological operations into a story where the line between innovation and insanity becomes impossible to see.
When global tensions begin pushing the United States toward a new kind of conflict, military leadership quietly approves an idea so unconventional it never should have survived the briefing room. The result is Carrier Air Wing ZERO - CVW-0 - a classified aviation unit built around experimental technology, deniable operations, and a handpicked group of pilots with long histories of breaking the rules and somehow surviving the consequences.
At the center of it all is Commander Jarred "ESSP" Taylor, a former JTAC turned strike fighter pilot whose reputation for impossible ideas has made him both respected and dangerous inside the Pentagon. Alongside veteran aviators, engineers, and tacticians known by callsigns like Trashman, TBAR, Mr. We, Salty, and Fridge, ESSP helps transform the unfinished USS Leviathan into the most advanced covert carrier platform ever assembled.
Their mission is simple on paper: operate where conventional forces cannot.
What follows is anything but simple.
As CVW-0 begins testing experimental aircraft, integrated battlefield AI systems, stealth surveillance platforms, and networked combat technology capable of reshaping modern warfare, the unit quickly discovers that the greatest threat may not come from enemy nations at all - but from the political systems, intelligence networks, and fragile balance of power surrounding them.
From blackout carrier operations in the Pacific to unsanctioned combat missions deep inside hostile territory, Deep Scythe delivers high-speed aerial combat, strategic deception, dark military humor, and cinematic action grounded in authentic operational detail. Inspired by the spirit of classic military thrillers while carrying a distinctly modern edge, the novel explores what happens when a group of highly capable warfighters are finally given permission to stop fighting by the handbook.
In the world of Deep Scythe, stealth is a weapon, fear is strategy, and the tide takes all.
