The adventure begins as Ashnayn leaves her home of Hobaru to help the elite Silent with their mission at The Twelve Lakes. Saddeye's Orakal is imprisoned by the tyrannical Emperor, Camulus Erra'Aulius, who seeks to be named by the child and therefore lead her ancient religion. Thieves continue their mission to undermine the disposition of Ideclan. The Warrior Queen, Andraste, marches her army North to defend Caibre Pass. And the Armies of The Kinned Lands voyage toward war.
