About

Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania is a real mountain town that time forgot and wants to keep it that way.

A single ticket. A vintage locomotive. A secret buried for many years.
When Washington intelligence analyst Sarah St. Clair receives a cryptic summons from the grandmother she has spent years trying to find, she is pulled back to the mountain, setting off a chain of events that no one in Eagles Mere is prepared for. What begins as a local mystery quickly unravels into a web of espionage, hidden alliances, and political corruption stretching from a quiet Endless Mountains town to the highest corridors of power in Washington, D.C.

Dancing in Time moves between the wartime summer of 1942 and the threshold of the new millennium, weaving espionage, surveillance, political corruption, and time travel, the world where the past is not dead, history fights back, and one journey in Eagles Mere changes everything through layers of alternative reality, buried alliances, and whispered lies. A four-faced clock stands in the middle of a village that practiced silence the way other places practice religion... and one woman determined to make it finally speak. Some secrets were buried on purpose. Some doors were sealed to stay shut. And some trains were never meant to run again.

Noah Sick did not imagine this town. He grew up inside of its mystery.
Born in 1956, he spent his childhood summers collecting what Eagles Mere's old families needed buried: the whispered stories, the footnotes that didn't add up, the absences that were far too deliberate to be accidents. He spent years listening and analyzing, and three years writing it all down.

Dancing in Time was written in 1999 as an alternative history novel. It is published for the first time in 2026, because some truths take time to find their moment.
