Meet Mara and Mya - instant best friends from the moment they meet on the swing set. Opposite from each other in many ways, they happen to have very similar-sounding names. So much so that their tongue-tied Kindergarten teacher gives them adorable nicknames, which are not only much easier to say, but which also embrace one of their most obvious "opposites".
This is the charming - and true! - story of how Mara and Mya become "Curly" and "Straight". Themes of friendship and the embracing of individual differences will leave readers smiling both, inside and out.
