The Word of God is filled with examples of lamentation. Lament is defined in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as mourning aloud or wailing; demonstratively expressing sorrow, or regret; to cry out or complain. It is a tool ordained by God to facilitate the navigation of difficult and emotional situations. When we cry out to God, we are crying out to a Father who hears us and who has the ability to intervene and act on our behalf.
