Crushing Cabo, Larry Mollin's exciting sequel to The Pool Guy's Kid, finds Gilly Montrose and his BFFs on another rollicking---and even more dangerous---adventure. One year after exposing a homicidal conspiracy in Beverly Hills, Gilly and his friends reunite in the California desert. But Gilly's best bud, VJ, is a no-show. He never returned from a yoga retreat in the resort city of Cabo San Lucas. VJ's girlfriend, Leticia, fears that ayahuasca and another woman might be involved.
As they set out to find VJ, there's no turning back for the friends. Gilly gains the trust of a mysterious, young travel nurse named Marlena, who holds the key to his best friend's disappearance: VJ is, at that very moment, in a private, cartel-owned hospital, being prepped to have all his organs removed.
With the help of a suave young consulate intern, a handsome local lover boy obsessed with 1990s pop culture, a punk mariachi band, and a host of other cray cray characters, the friends dig deep within themselves and discover the skills to persevere. They follow a trail that leads them in and out of the clutches of ruthless cartel killers and a capo who will stop at nothing to protect his investment.
As a result, Gilly and company are relentlessly pursued all the way up the eight-hundred--mile Baja Peninsula. Throughout the chase, the pressure to survive builds, the bonds of friendship are tested, and young love and romance flourish in the most unlikely of places. Will they all make it home? Will they live to post about it? And what will Gilly's heart decide?
