Created to Shine was written to bless children everywhere, and help them understand that their lives are made with purpose. God, the Creator of the universe, put unique gifts and talents in all of us. No two people on earth are exactly alike. And this book helps children know that they are made by God to be a light, and that he loves children all over the world. But it doesn't stop there. The book wonderfully unfolds the reason why they are meant to be a light. Teaching children that our talents weren't given to us for our own glory, but for God's glory, is interwoven throughout the text. Today's culture is more and more about "me" and taking credit for the hard work "I've done." As we help children grow in their faith by reading books like this one, we want them to never forget where their help comes from so that they remain humble and teachable. Created to Shine delightfully explains that we are to be good stewards of our talents. This book emphasizes how God created his children to shine even from early stages of life. Even more, seeds of evangelism are planted throughout the book to encourage kids to share their childlike faith with others. Prayers, suggestions to serve, and activities to help grow your child's faith are added in parents' pages to give you more support in your journey. I pray this book supports you in your mission as parents to "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) Your child will enjoy reading this book many times because it's encouraging and uplifting. I hope your child will grow up always believing that he/she was created to shine.
