About

Cosmetic Guillotine is a poetic anatomy of contemporary civilisation and its hidden interiors.

Across five interconnected movements, Veneer, Contagion, Apparatus, Fracture and Residue, the collection traverses glamour, ideology, empire, desire, cultural illness, psychological dislocation and the search for meaning beyond systems that appear increasingly exhausted.

These poems move between satire, lament, prophecy, confession and symbolic meditation. Beauty becomes performance. History becomes apparatus. Technology becomes mythology. Intimacy becomes fracture. What survives emerges as residue.

Figures of spectacle, decadence, memory, power, ritual, alienation and longing recur throughout, assembling a landscape populated by failed utopias, inherited narratives, emotional exhaustion and persistent visions of renewal.

At once confrontational and introspective, Cosmetic Guillotine examines the tension between surface and essence, conformity and imagination, collapse and transformation. It is a work concerned not only with disintegration, but with the fragments, symbols and possibilities that remain when old certainties have been stripped away.

Part social diagnosis, part symbolic cabinet and part existential chronicle, Cosmetic Guillotine occupies the threshold between cultural criticism and visionary poetry.
