Colors

Colors is an artistic expression of Dr. Vasiloff 's love of life and
the people who he has encountered and worked with during his
long medical and teaching career. An optimistic man who looks for
the good in others, he artfully expresses the emotional impacts of
patients, students, and the thousands of others he has known in his
personal life. Much of life is suffering, and he has seen much with
his own eyes. But he has also seen courage, gratefulness, and the
remarkable ability of people to persevere and overcome the "slings
and arrows" common to the human experience. While some of these
experiences can be expressed in objective prose, Dr. Vasiloff's deepest
feelings and discovered meanings are better expressed obliquely in
poetry, art, and song. That is what this book is all about: an effort
of a caring physician and teacher to convey to others the incredible
colors of human life he has been privy to witness in his life and career.
