While sailing, Dr. Sam Daniels accidentally exposes cancer cells to seawater. The resulting chemical reaction leads to a startling discovery: cancer cells have greater intelligence than anyone could have imagined, including the ability to communicate with other cancer colonies, utilizing a highly complex code based on bio-chemical processes. Sam builds an impromptu research team, which includes a Russian computer whiz and an engineer at the helm of inventing the worlds most powerful microscope. Their efforts to crack the cancer code take them well outside the realm of mainstream medical science, crossing the line into science fiction and fantasy.
The team travels to a surreal cave in upstate New York, the seas of Southeast Asia, and the skies of the Nevada desert. Sams only hope: that his wild hypothesis, plus a little luck, will lead to the most important medical breakthrough of the modern age.
