Circular Dreams

Moving his whole body, something that proved more difficult than he would have thought, he managed to raise his head high enough to sneak a peek outside the car's window. Some police vehicles were scattered here and there around them, while dozens of other cars were parked on their side of the boulevard. Their windows were shattered. Right in front of them, policemen were talking to people, taking statements and scribbling notes on their small notepads. Breathing deeply, he laid his head on the soft seat and closed his eyes. He felt as if his forehead was about to burst into flames.
