Coming of age in the Roaring Twenties at a time of great prosperity and dramatic social and political change, 12-year-old Tony is eager to see what the future holds. But when his father decides to run for mayor of their town, familial bonds are tested, as the idea of political purity leads to conflict among father, mother and son. While his father ascends into a position of influence and develops lust for power, Tony and his mother must grapple with the unintended consequences. It will be up to them to realign the family's moral compass. A tale of corruption, greed and self-interest, Cicero illustrates the dangers of unchecked power and its monstrous grip on one family.
