Christine is young, attractive, and fresh out of grad school. Eager to start her "real" life, she sets out on a new career path, and to find The One, the man of her dreams. But her dreams are interrupted indefinitely when a rare, disfiguring disease strikes, holding hostage her notion of beauty, and the person she thought she was. Trying desperately to hide her sickness, Christine struggles to keep sight of the life she once imagined. Just when she thinks she it all figured out about how to live with her disease, an invitation to travel abroad challenges her carefully constructed comfort zone and disrupts her efforts at secrecy and illusion. At every step of the way she must choose between holding on to fear, and letting go to discover the person she might become. Follow Christine. The destination is worth the journey.
