So… I kind of accidentally ended up learning five languages. Yeah, five. English, Spanish, Latin, Chinese, and Japanese. Now, you may be asking: why? Isn't learning a language really boring? More importantly, why five? Isn't one hard already enough? Well, that's what most people think. But in reality, learning a language is far from boring. Yes there are boring moments, such as memorizing vocab and taking tests, and yes, there are hard, and worse, awkard moments. Imagine trying to order food in Mexico, but everything the waiter says seems like gibberish and you're just standing there with your mouth open. Awkward, right? But thats just 10% of the story. The bad 10%. 90% of the time, you're taking a deep dive into a new world, one built around the culture that the language brings. You aren't just learning a different method of communication, you're unlocking a new perspective to see the word, a new lens. And if you're ambitious like me and actually take the time and effort to learn the language (which hopefully my story will motivate you to), you'll realize truly, how vivid, colorful, and interesting this world can be.
