God Says:
"I must say

a real live maiden in distress.
Unless I choose
to get involved
it is unlikely
her problem will be solved".......
I say:
"Gracious me! I do declare
I have nothing to wear!
My hospital wardrobe is small
I hardly have anything at all
in my size."
I continue:
"Oh God, most wise,
you know that talking with God
seems a little odd."
God then says:
"Talking with you
seems peculiar too."
Catherine E. Goin, who was diagnosed with an acute schizophrenic episode in 1974, is on a mission to share with others what she learned from her doctors about mental health issues throughout her forty years of outpatient psychotherapy.
In a collection of poems inspired by nature and brought to life by original black and white illustrations, Catherine reflects on God as well as her humorous and most horrifying personal experiences while leading others through the four seasons of her life entitled, "So Cool," "A Fool," "Such Grief," and "Ah, Relief." Now happily in remission, Catherine lyrically explores her new beginning as a miracle from God while inspiring others to never give up hope, despite their seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
