What happens when a solitude-craving writer hears a cat mewing outside his window all night long or when a refrigerator tells about his visitors and the world around him, from his perspective?
In this collection of whimsical and humorous short stories and reflections on everyday life, Cats, Dogs, and Humans all learn to live together in harmony. A night nurse addicted to television shares his thoughts about his obsession with Brooke Shields and the shopping channel; senior citizen neighbors attempt to get along with their younger counterparts; a forty-something bachelor battles his perfectionist tendencies; and just as the writer gets used to his adopted cat, Alexandra, his neighbor drops a puppy off at his doorstep.
Entertaining prose intertwines with interesting characters in relatable settings, making this compilation of short stories appealing to anyone who wants to just keep it simple and once again remember that the quirky moments in life are often the most fun and memorable.
