Night was almost upon her, but the chill in the air wasn't just a physical one. Although the stones were supposed to protect her family and the village, she'd always found the place creepy. It was as though silently standing among them were a thousand ghosts watching her, waiting for her to join them… When Carole Templeton falls to her death at the cliff edge beside the ancient stone where her father died, locals fear the legend of the blood stone has returned with a vengeance. Dr Harrison Lane, head of the Ritualistic Behavioural Crime unit, arrives in Yorkshire and finds a community living in fear of the ancient tribal curse and the myth of a 17th century vampire. But when he sets out to uncover the truth behind the superstition, his findings unnerve him. The legend of the blood stone may not be just a myth but something much more sinister, and the Templeton family curse may be more real than anyone could have imagined. With his personal life preying on his mind, Harrison begins to experience dread for the first time, struggling to connect the threads of the case. As the sun sets on the stone circle and the shadows of the night creep in, Harrison must unravel the truth behind the curse and stop the killer before it's too late… Captive Heart is a suspenseful, thrilling page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end, perfect for fans of Angela Marsons, LJ Ross and Rachel Abbott.
