Caprock

C A P R O C K, a geological term for a harder or more resistant rock type overlying a weaker or less resistant rock type. The geological formation known as the Caprock in Texas separates east Texas from the west. CAPROCK, the book, is a story that spans decades and traverses the grassy Texas plains across the caprock into the hill country.
