'Meet Cap'n Jakey Skinbones, a Pirate Dog is he aboard the good ship Sea Pup he sails the Seven Seas.' 'One day the Cap'n notices that all his crew look glum because there is no food on board to fill their empty tums.' A swashbuckling rhyming 'tail' of a 'Houndsome' Pirate Captain and his motley crew of hounds who find themselves with no food on board ship to fill their empty tums. So he and his gang of hungry Sea Rovers sail away to raid Fort Moggs, an impenetrable stone fortress on a far-away island inhabited by cats! There he meets his nemesis, Senor Tom, a fearless Spanish cat and a fierce battle ensues. Eventually the cats surrender with not a single one harmed! The Pirate's booty is a large treasure chest, which they discover is filled with the most surprising treasure! A delightfully illustrated book, the first of many adventures to come, of an old sea dog 'what goes by the name of Cap'n Jakey Skinbones!' A very important reminder to all Dad's, Mom's and children everywhere... this story must be spoken in a real Pirate voice me young hearties, Ah Ha! landlubbers.
