As an early childhood educator of many years, author Kerissa Poss often heard kids describe the color brown as "ugly," "dirty," or "too dark." However, brown is beautiful! It can be friendly like a dog's wagging tail or strong like a tall tree. Brown is the color of chocolate, and everyone loves chocolate!
With Kerissa's encouragement, the kids in her classes started choosing brown more quickly from their crayon boxes.
What if you were reminded of all the wonderful things brown can be? Would you see the beauty in this often overlooked color? Brown Is Beautiful reminds us of all the wonderful things brown can be and to love ourselves just the way we are.
