About

In Mexico, a lawyer, his policeman brother, and two gay nineteen-year-olds open a brothel. The brothel will only service bi or gay men, no women or minors. Unfortunately, the most vicious gang in the city also runs one catering to the same type of clientele. For a while, a fragile peace holds between the two brothels, but when the gang's business falters, chaos erupts. Kidnapping, arson, and even murder ensue. The police in three Mexican states try to rein in the violence, but in most cases come up empty. Brothel-hood is a gripping tale of survival in a dangerous environment. It is recommended for readers 16+. The book contains some moderate language and gang-related violence, but absolutely no explicit sexual scenes. Mr. Payne is a retired educator and the author of fiction books written under a pseudonym. He currently lives with his family in Puebla, Mexico. He plans to write a sequel to Brothel-Hood, which hopefully will be available next year. All of his books use simple vocabulary, with most of his characters' physical characteristics left to the readers' imagination.
