An empowering, educational, and judgment-free guide to formula feeding from certified infant feeding technician Mallory Whitmore a.k.a. The Formula Mom.
Nourishing a newborn properly is vital for healthy growth and development. While many mothers intend to breastfeed, research shows the majority of US parents will use formula before their baby's first birthday. Yet, most of these parents don't receive any meaningful support or education to explore alternative options. Instead, they are told "breast milk is best"and are inundated with anti-formula rhetoric which can foster negative feelings and outcomes when breastfeeding isn't an option.
Now, formula expert Mallory Whitmore is here to guide you on successful bottle feeding throughout baby's first year. Drawing from her personal struggles as a new mom and as a leader in the infant feeding space, Whitmore candidly shares her experiences of trial, error, and triumph and covers essential topics such as choosing the right formula, safe bottle preparation, feeding strategies, and troubleshooting common issues like reflux and gas. Whitmore also focuses on supporting mental health and dismantling harmful societal pressures, with tips to find joy in this journey.
