An historical love story - an American Downton Abbey - "Boston Proper" is the compelling tale of young Victoria and Xander who are in love. Fate is, in fact, the culprit. But the Victorian Era will always attempt to destroy all that does not yield to its stifling ideals. Because Victoria is the daughter of a railroad tycoon, and Xander shovels dirt for his next meal, they are torn apart.
Separation by an entire nation, fortunes won and lost, and twin children thought to have died, must all transpire before the full gift of fate can be truly realized.
Fate made its promise long ago and it cannot be undone. Victoria and Xander's paths cross once more. They stand before each other raw, scarred and consumed - exactly as fate would have it. Finally, after long last, they embrace the love and family that fate had always meant them to have. Now, fate has fully prepared them to face their biggest challenge. The truth.
