Drew loves playing with his friends and being silly with his eight-year-old sister, Jayne. But one day after he wakes up and discovers something is different, Drew quickly learns that life can change in an instant.
Jayne seems sad, lonely, and quiet. Even worse, she doesn't want to eat, listen to music, ride her bike, or climb trees. Drew asks her every day if she wants to play, but Jayne refuses-until the day she finally says "Yes!" As Jayne sets out on a journey of recovery with help from her doctors and therapists, Drew realizes that he can help in his own way by simply providing her with unconditional love and support.
Bite-Sized Steps is the touching story of a brother's devotion to his sister and her healing process after she loses her desire to eat.
