Philosophy as disenchantment: In Bewitchment, Lukas Frank confronts Judith Butler with Wittgenstein's philosophy of language - and reveals where their theory puzzles, parodies, or collapses into emptiness. Between Gender Trouble and the Philosophical Investigations unfolds a duel over truth, power, and language that also ventures into cinema, music, pop culture, and literature. A book that does not merely read Butler but puts their philosophy to the test - making Wittgenstein the unlikely accomplice.
