We've all had good Christmases. Some of us have even had down-right bad Christmases. But if you want yourself and your family to have the best Christmas ever, you must first understand what makes them either the most wonderful days of the year or days you try to avoid.
One of the most common downfalls of the holiday season is our obsession with being busy. Even if we don't want to, we allow ourselves to get swept up in the chaos of shopping, wrapping, buying, and spending and put our precious time toward things that don't matter. By deciding what matters most, we can make time to honor, celebrate, prioritize, and bask in these things.
Take a moment to ask yourself: What really matters this Christmas? By getting clear about the most important things, you begin to realize that there are a great many that are okay to fail at because they don't matter that much. You can then decide what to intentionally neglect and intentionally fail at. Once you've decided what matters most, keep them at the top of your to-do list as you journey toward Christmas this Advent.
The book you hold in your hands might be one of the greatest gifts you receive this year. May it lead you on your path to discovering the 28 ways to make this the Best (or Worst) Christmas Ever!
