Love isn't about what you've lost. It's about finding someone who sees all of you-and stands beside you anyway. When a car accident stole her ability to walk, Mary Smithwick refused to let it steal her future. Starting over in Montana as the administrative manager for Lighthouse Security Investigations, Mary is determined to prove she belongs. She doesn't expect to find herself drawn to Bert Tomlinson, a former Navy SEAL whose quiet strength and unwavering respect make her feel truly seen. Working side by side, their professional partnership deepens into something neither is ready to admit. For Bert, protecting others is instinct, but his feelings grow as he sees Mary's resilience, intelligence, and fierce independence. But thinking those feelings were one-sided, he vowed to remain just friends. Until danger forces his hand. While on her first vacation in over a year, Mary uncovers signs that someone is watching her. Bert races to her side, posing as her fiancé to keep her safe. Forced into close proximity, pretense gives way to truth and feelings neither can deny. But the threat is real. Time is running out.And this time, love may be the greatest risk of all. As an Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old bodice ripper romance books. In 2013 I started a blog to showcase wonderful writers. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created. My first novel, Emma's Home became an Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with. When not writing, I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I have just retired and look forward to more time with family and writing!I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 34 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters. When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!I love to hear from readers, so please email me!
