Blackmail' is an ugly word. A dangerous word. When Hollywood starlet Kenya Reese starts receiving veiled threats from a stranger, she knows that her entire world-career, family and reputation-will be destroyed if she doesn't comply. In a frantic effort to stave off disaster, she abandons her big acting break and catches the next flight to Trinidad … in the midst of Carnival. Thrust into a world of chaos, color and soca music, she must remind herself she's not here to party, but to scour the city's poorest, most notorious neighborhoods, looking for the man who can bring her crashing down with a single word.Convinced that it's an insane idea for Kenya to undertake such a quest alone, her worried manager sends help … in the form of a dark, powerful, imposing bodyguard, Damon Saint Rose. Damon's only job is to protect Kenya from ills she can't even see, but amidst the seductive enticements of the world's greatest street festival, with music ringing in the air, how can they keep from straying toward each other? And what should Kenya do when Damon's overprotectiveness gets between her and the truth? Roslyn Carrington, Simona Taylor's alter ego, has been a
